Trafford – CD Photo Shoot

Trafford – CD Photo Shoot

We love shooting portraits, so when Chris Trafford asked us if we wanted to shoot the imagery for his new album we were totally on board.   We’ve worked with Chris in the past on a few aerial projects but this was the first time he was in front of the camera.  This guys is chalk full of ideas and concepts and had a pretty clear vision for exactly the type of cover he wanted to create.   The concept for the cover was based around the lyrics of the song (and album title) “Rebel For Hire” which can be heard here.  Pick up a copy at Bull Moose or on iTunes, its good stuff!!

311 Summer Street

311 Summer Street – Boston, MA

Walking around Boston there are many brick buildings throughout the city, its part of what makes the city so great.  311 Summer Street is the perfect example of an iconic building located in one of Boston’s historic neighborhoods.  We recently had the opportunity to work with the team at Boston Realty Advisors to photograph interiors and exteriors that showcased the property.   Along with the images we also put together a video that explores the ins and outs of the building.  The addition of time-lapse footage shows just how full of life the building, streets and sidewalks are on a busy day.  We are stoked with how this project turned out.  It is a perfect example of marrying motion and stills together to create a cohesive and seamless result.

Photographing the new Babson College Park Manor West Building by Sasaki Associates

Babson College |  Park Manor West Building | Sasaki Associates

Earlier this summer we had the opportunity to photograph the new Park Manor West Building recently designed by Sasaki Associates.  The building is located at the center of Babson College and is surrounded by a beautifully designed quad that encourages students and faculty to use the outdoor space.  Because the interior of the building had large open areas throughout it made photographing the space easier with all the natural light that was pouring in.  This greatly reduced the need for supplemental lighting.  With students and faculty interacting and using each space we were able to craft images that reflected the design and accessibility of the environment.

Interior Photos | Elements Coffee Shop

Interior Photos |  Elements  |  Caleb Johnson Architects + Builders

Biddeford is going through a bit of a revival and one of the best examples of that is Elements coffee shop in downtown Biddeford, ME.  The space was designed by Caleb Johnson Architects + Builders and is located on Main St. in a formally unoccupied commercial space that sat empty for years.  We spent the day with Caleb and his team capturing 8-10 interior photos that not only featured the overall cafe but also the details found throughout the space.  Below are just a few of the compositions from the shoot.

If you’re looking for really good coffee be sure to stop by and get one of their pour overs, its the best in town.

Interior Photography: Unispace and The Salvation Army

Interior Photography: Unispace and The Salvation Army

We just finalized the images from The Salvation Army office interior that we photographed a few weeks back in San Francisco, CA for Unispace.  The scope of the shoot was to capture 8-10 compositions that not only highlighted the workspace as a whole but also the attention to detail that went into every aspect of the design.  Notice the throwback images from the early days of The Salvation Army.

It it always exciting when we get the opportunity to work with Unispace as they are one of the leading interior design firms and their work is nothing short of world class.

On Assignment: AE Ceramics

On Assignment: AE Ceramics

Back in March we had the opportunity to spend an afternoon with Alison Evans of AE Ceramics in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.  We were on assignment for Design New England to photograph Alison’s recently opened gallery (AE Home) in Boothbay, as well as capture a portrait of her working on one of her signature pieces.  Its great to photograph someone who is so passionate about their craft because it translates into a very natural authentic portrait.   Along with the still images we also put together a short video of Alison explaining her craft as she presses together a large oyster coffee table bowl.

The New American Home – Las Vegas, NV

Last year was quite a busy year for us.  One project we were particularly excited about photographing was The New American Home in Las Vegas, NV.  This showcase home was designed and built by Blue Heron and in partner with National Association of Home Builders’.

The Wall Street Journal just published an in depth article about the project which features some of our photography.
