On Assignment: AE Ceramics
Back in March we had the opportunity to spend an afternoon with Alison Evans of AE Ceramics in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. We were on assignment for Design New England to photograph Alison’s recently opened gallery (AE Home) in Boothbay, as well as capture a portrait of her working on one of her signature pieces. Its great to photograph someone who is so passionate about their craft because it translates into a very natural authentic portrait. Along with the still images we also put together a short video of Alison explaining her craft as she presses together a large oyster coffee table bowl.
We recently spent the day with artist Heather Chontos at her studio in Portland, ME.
Inspiring post by Chase Jarvis. It could be these little changes that lead to bigger changes down the road.
The Reflect Project will be on display for the next month in the Danforth Gallery at The University of Maine in Augusta! There will be an open reception on October 23rd from 12-2 for anyone interested in a discussion about the project. For more information about the exhibit please visit http://www.artsuma.com/
PMC Magazine, a venue for showcasing interesting people, events and art, just published a piece on the REFLECT project. This article is different in that its more of an interview then it is a synopsis of the project and gives our own reflection of the project. Make sure to head over to PMC Magazine to read the interview.

The Boston Globe recently ran a story on the newly constructed museum at Colby College, as you can see the article starts with a beautiful image of the exterior we captured earlier this summer. Click the image for more on the story.
